Meet The Doctors

David G. Darany DDS, MS

Dr. David G. Darany attended college at Wayne State University and dental school at the University of Detroit School of Dentistry. He completed his periodontal training and Masters Degree at Ohio State University College of Dentistry. He continues to educate himself through the American Academy of Periodontology and the Bunting Periodontal Study Club. He is an Associate Professor at the University of Detroit-Mercy School of Dentistry where he has taught for 19 years. He is a member of ADA, MDA, American Academy of Periodontology, the Detroit District Dental Society and is past president of the Southwest Component of the Detroit District Dental Society.

Lloyd W. Lariscy DDS

Dr. Lloyd W. Lariscy attended the University of Georgia, where he received his Bachelor of Science in microbiology before graduating from Meharry Medical College, School of Dentistry with a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree.  After a general practice internship and three years as a faculty member, Dr. Lariscy returned to the Medical College of Virginia/Virginia Commonwealth University School of Dentistry to receive a certificate in the specialty of Periodontics.  He taught at MCV for two years before accepting a position on the faculty at the University of Detroit Mercy.  Dr. Lariscy was a faculty member from 1982-1986.  In 1986 he joined Periodontic Associates.  Dr. Lariscy maintains a part-time faculty position at UDM.  He is active in organized dentistry and has served as President of Detroit District Dental Society and is currently the President of the Bunting Periodontal Society.

Linda L. Dobis DDS

Dr. Linda L. Dobis is a graduate of the University of Detroit Mercy Dental School. She received a certificate in hospital dentistry and her certificate in Periodontics from the University of Iowa.

Dr. Dobis has taught periodontics to dental students and residents since 1998. She has spoken locally and regionally about Periodontics and implants. Dr. Dobis is a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology. She practices periodontics and implantology in the Dearborn and Milford offices.

Warren R. Tessler DDS, MScD

Dr. Warren R. Tessler completed his dental degree at the University of Detroit School of Dentistry. He completed a dental internship at Montefiore Hospital in the Bronx, New York, before going on to his post graduate dental education at the Boston University School of Graduate Dentistry. He also served in the U.S. Army; stationed in Columbia, SC, he was the Chief of Periodontics at Fort Jackson. Dr. Tessler continues to further his education through local courses and through the American Academy of Periodontology.

He is a member of a number of dental organizations on a local, national, and international level. Community also plays an important role in his life. He participates in charitable activities including working at the local food bank, religious education, charitable dental treatment for those in need, and volunteering for a "free loan" institution.

Jacob Steiger DDS, MS

Dr. Jacob Steiger earned a B.A. from Michigan State University and graduated from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry. After practicing general dentistry, he completed a residency in periodontics and implantology and a Masters degree through the University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry and St. John Riverview Hospital. He has authored several articles in the field of periodontics. Dr. Steiger is certified by the Michigan State Specialty Board of examiners and is a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology. Professional memberships include the ADA, MDA, American Academy of Periodontology, International Congress of Oral Implantologists, and Alpha Omega dental fraternity. He is an Associate Professor at the University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry, and serves as an examiner for the State of Michigan Specialty Board.

Tae-Ju Oh DDS, MS

Dr. Tae-Ju Oh is a graduate of the Seoul National University in South Korea. He teaches continuing education for dentists and hygienists at periodontic and implant conferences, as well as at the University of Michigan School of Dentistry. Dr. Oh is a committee member of the Midwest Society of Periodontology, and served as the chair of their annual meeting in 2007. He also sits on the peer review panel for the Journal of Periodontology, and has authored numerous publications on implant and grafting procedures.

Thiago Morelli DDS, MS

Dr. Morelli attended dental school at the University of Sao Paulo, Brazil. He received his Certificate in Periodontics and Conscious Sedation and a Masters degree from the University of Michigan, focusing on perio-prosthetic reconstruction. Dr. Morelli has authored several articles in periodontal and dental implant journals. He is proficient in all aspects of Periodontics and has a special interest in the field of dental implantology for replacing missing teeth. He has completed training at the Misch International Implant Institute in Michigan.
Dr. Morelli was awarded the Balint Orban Award for graduate research and the Abram and Sylvia Chasens Teaching and Research Fellowship in October 2010 by the American Academy of Periodontology. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology, and a member of the ADA, MDA, American Academy of Periodontology and the Midwest Society of Periodontology. He is also a Professor at the University of Detroit Mercy, School of Dentistry.

Ana Janic, DDS, MS

Dr. Janic attended the University of Belgrade, Serbia, where she obtained her DDS degree in 2003. She confirmed her license at University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry through the advanced standing program for foreign trained dentists. After graduation, she completed a residency in periodontics and implantology and a Masters degree through the University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry and St. John Riverview Hospital. Dr. Janic is certified by the Michigan State Specialty Board of examiners.
She continues to educate herself through the American Academy of Periodontology and the Bunting Periodontal Study Club. She is a member of ADA, MDA, American Academy of Periodontology and two honor societies, the Omicron Kappa Upsilon dental honor society and Alpha Sigma Nu, the highest honor society.
She practices periodontics, implantology, conscious sedation and orthodontically related procedures at the Plymouth office.
